Tykes Tuesday is back Tuesday mornings from 11:00 AM to noon in Macy’s Court. The fun starts July 9 and runs to August 20.

The kids’ program is free, open to the public, and is best suited for children ages 12 and under. This year’s activities include a visit from Forest Park Zoo, a magic show, and more!

Along with our weekly entertainment, DazzleDay Face Painters will be at each event to transform your little ones into colorful characters and exciting creatures through the magic of face painting! Children will also be able to unleash their creativity at a weekly coloring station, brought to you by TD Bank.

Wildlife on Wheels will be visiting the center on July 9 along with their zoo pals! Wildlife on Wheels provides information about animals, their special adaptations, habitats, behaviors, diets, and status in the wild. Animal visitors may include mammals, reptiles, birds, amphibians, and arthropods.

Join us for a fantastic hour of story time on July 16, brought to you by Holyoke Public Library. Children 12 and under are invited to enjoy exciting tales and fun activities, all while bringing the joy of reading to life!

Join us for a delightful and educational hour on July 23 at Sumo Japanese Steakhouse. Children will learn how to use chopsticks while enjoying the Teppanyaki experience. What is Teppanyaki? Teppanyaki is a style of Japanese cuisine where food is cooked on an iron griddle, typically in front of diners. Come and watch skilled Chefs perform dazzling culinary tricks, and let your children discover the art of Japanese dining in a fun and interactive way!

This event will be split into two sessions. Entry for each session will be first come, first serve.

Session One: 11:00 AM – 11:30 AM

Session Two: 11:30 AM – 12:00 PM

How can paper be used to tell stories? On July 30, join The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art, for a hands-on workshop where families will be able to create collages and explore the potential of paper by tearing, cutting, arranging, and attaching paper together.

Flutter on over to the mall on August 6 to learn about butterflies and other exotic animals with Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory. Magic Wings is an 8000 square-foot tropical conservatory with nearly 4000 free-flying tropical and native butterflies from all over the world! They also have exotic reptiles, frogs, fish, birds & insects to see up close and personal.

Join us for an unforgettable experience on August 13 with Holyoke Fire Department. Children will be able to listen to firefighters read an exciting story and explore a real fire engine up close! This fun and educational event is perfect for kids who want to learn more about our everyday heroes.

What’s better than a magic show? A comedic magic show! Join Ed Popielarczyk on August 20 for a show that will leave you amazed and laughing. You don’t want to miss these magical moments.
