HOLYOKE MALL TO HOST SHOPPING 101
Exclusive shopping and entertainment event to welcome college students
Holyoke, MA– Starting Saturday, August 28th, and running through Wednesday, September 8th, students can head to Holyoke Mall for Shopping 101. Soon-to-be and current college students can show their college ID at participating businesses to receive exclusive discounts, and take part in in-store events and various raffles.

This annual event was not held in 2020 and prior to that was only held on one day. For 2021, the event is being extended to a 10-day period.
“With various start dates before and after Labor Day at area colleges and universities, we decided to extend the event to cover a 10-day period before and after the holiday weekend,” shared Lisa Wray, Holyoke Mall’s Marketing Director. “This way too, local students that haven’t headed off to college can take advantage of these offers.”
There are some retailers such as Express, Smoothie Island, LOFT and Pandora that provide year-round student discounts. There are other businesses that provide students with year-round discounts through an app that students can download called UNiDAYS. These are broken down online for students to take advantage of.
In addition, there will be an Instagram contest where students can enter to win various prizes including gifts for their dorm room or restaurant gift certificates.
