Shoot for the stars and become one. The next NBA superstar could be one of Holyoke’s own.

Holyoke Mall is proud to host the Paper City Basketball Club on Saturday, June 16, 2018, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, on the Upper Level near Target.

The Paper City Basketball Club’s sixth-grade team will be collecting donations to help fund their upcoming trip to Orlando, Florida. The team was afforded this opportunity after winning the Zero Gravity Commonwealth Super Cup Finals back in April of this year.

Coordinator of the event, Natasha Wilson stated, “When you think of Holyoke, and how you can get a look into our city, the Holyoke Mall is a major place to show off just that. So what better place to let everyone get insight on what we do in our community with our Basketball teams.”

With more than 125 players, the Paper City Basketball Club teaches and trains young boys and girls in the fundamentals of basketball as well as prepares them for their future in the sport. According to the organization, they “have assembled some of the finest basketball players in Holyoke and constantly search for tomorrow’s superstars.” In addition to their focus on basketball, the organization “is committed to the development and empowerment of its student-athletes… ultimately aiding the development of young people.”
