Tykes Tuesday, formally known as Kids Club, will take place every Tuesday from June 25th through August 20th at 11:00 am on the Lower Level in Macy’s Court with free fun and educational activities for children ages 12 and under. Activities include art projects, science experiments, children’s performers, and more!

Forest Park’s Zoo on the Go!
June 25th | 11:00 am | Lower Level in Macy’s Court
This event will feature an educational presentation with information about animals, their special adaptations, habitats, behavior, diets, and status in the wild. Animal visitors may include: mammals, reptiles, birds, amphibians, and arthropods.
We will also be joined by Macaroni Kid Chicopee-Holyoke, Dazzle Day Face Painters, Billy Beez, and TD Bank!
Adventure at Flight Fit N’ Fun

Take flight during Tykes Tuesday! Flight Fit N Fun provides families with a safe environment for action-oriented entertainment. This indoor adventure park features virtual reality games, ninja warrior courses, trampolines, dodgeball, climbing structures, and laser maze.

Connecticut Science Center

The Connecticut Science Center is bringing the science to you! The program features a mix of science demonstrations and hands-on activities that spark students’ scientific curiosity, and encourage students to explore how science is part of their own everyday experiences. Their Classroom Programs are aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards.
We will also be joined by Macaroni Kid Chicopee-Holyoke, Billy Beez, and Dazzle Day Face Painters!
Birds of Prey

Join Mad Science for fun, hands-on, and educational activities and demonstrations. Mad Science’s mission is to spark the imagination of children and inspire curiosity though interactive and educational activities that demonstrate the importance of science and how it affects the world.

Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory
August 6th | 11:00 am | Lower Level in Macy’s Court
Join Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory for a special presentation during Tykes Tuesday. Come meet and learn about their butterflies and other exotic animals. Magic Wings is an 8000 square-foot tropical conservatory with nearly 4000 free-flying tropical and native butterflies from all over the world! They also have exotic reptiles, frogs, fish, birds & insects to see up close and personal.

New England Aquarium Tide Pools
August 13th | 11:00 am to 12:30 pm | Lower Level in Macy’s Court
Explore and learn about tidepools with New England Aquarium. This hands-on program provides sensory exploration for children, and deepens the context for elementary students learning about habitats. Come meet and learn about the animals who live in these habitats!
We will also be joined by HoopJoy of Amherst, Billy Beez, Dazzle Day Face Painters, and TD Bank!
Collage and The Art of Eric Carle
August 20th | 11:00 am | Lower Level in Macy’s Court
Take an in-depth look at Eric Carle’s collage process through his picture books and get inspired to create textured papers perfect for storytelling. Using stamps and rubbing plates, participants will make a variety of papers to then transform into a collage. Participants will work on communication and collaboration skills while making the textured paper, then develop their creative-thinking skills when making their individual collages.
We will also be joined by Macaroni Kid Chicopee-Holyoke, Billy Beez, Dazzle Day Face Painters, and TD Bank!
