Responsibilities
The Retail Sales Associate will be responsible for the following:
- Meet sales goals by working/training with other store personnel
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service initiatives
- Communicate, solve problems, pay attention to detail
- Keep track of promotions and advertisements
- Perform inventory checks twice daily (open and close), reconciling cash with sales receipts, keeping store transaction records, order merchandise when applicable
- Comply with store’s security, sales and record taking practices/procedures
- Be able to address queries or concerns that may arise from clientele
- Arrange and organize displays delay
- Clean and maintain the store daily
Qualifications
- Minimum of two to three years experience in a luxury retail role
- Flexibility to work in various locations within the business
- Ability to generate sales and manage business related targets
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including days, nights, weekends and holidays
- Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Superior interpersonal skills and positive leadership initiatives
- Driven team player with ability to motivate staff and build relationships
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Authorization to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications/Primary Job Requirements
- Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or retailing preferred
- Graduate gemologist degree or previous Gemological Institute of America (GIA) course work is preferred
- Proficiency in Exec Control and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
