Holyoke Mall Partners with Several Charities this Holiday Season
HOLYOKE, MA- Holyoke Mall is honored to partner with various charitable organizations this holiday season and help give back to our local community.
Throughout the month of December, Holyoke VNA and Hospice Life Care are stationed on the Upper Level near Target providing shoppers gift-wrapping services with all proceeds to benefit the patients and families of the Holyoke VNA. Ornaments are also being sold for $10 to benefit Hospice Life Care and will hang on their tree in memory of a loved one.
In addition to wrapping gifts, the organization is set to host Light Up A Life 2018, on Thursday, December 6, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. by their wrapping station. This event will feature a community memorial and tree lighting emceed by Rich Tettemer, of 22 News, as well as a performance by the Blessed Sacrament School Choir and Color Guard. Guests are encouraged to participate with sponsorship or by purchasing a star in memory or honor of a loved one.
The Salvation Army is another charitable partner this holiday season. For years, The Salvation Army has partnered with Holyoke Mall to help fund programs and services for thousands of families, youth and senior citizens in our community and across Massachusetts. This year, their Red Kettle Campaign kicked off on November 16th with bell ringers accepting donations at various mall entrances.
The Salvation Army also hosts their Angel Tree on the Upper Level near AT&T for shoppers to donate gifts to children in need. Shoppers select a tag from the tree with the requested gift. Donations can be dropped off Tuesday through Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. now until Sunday, December 23, 2018.
This year, representatives from the United States Marine Corp of Westover Air Base, John J. Duggan Academy, Five Star Bus Company, and IHeart Radio are teaming up to host a Toys for Tots drive from December 5 to December 9, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. in Red Lot.
Holyoke Mall is proud to partner with and supports these organizations, and others like them, to make a lasting impact on our community. Throughout the year, the shopping center offers space to numerus non-profit groups to fundraise and bring awareness to their organizations.
